LAKE VILLAGE, AR (Ben Caxton) — Construction workers have begun building a new solar project near Lake Village. The Chicot Solar Energy Center is expected to produce enough electricity to power more than 18,000 when completed sometime in late 2020. The solar plant will generate 100 megawatts of electricity and will serve Entergy Arkansas customers under a 20-year power purchase agreement.
