GREENVILLE, Miss.–If you’ve ever thought about making a difference, you’re being asked to do it by serving on the public school board if you l;ive in Greenville.
“All the residents out there, if you’re interested in getting on the school board, please put an application out there,” he said.
A Facebook post on the city government Facebook page said applications are due by Thursday at 4 p.m. and should be dropped off at the mayor’s office. The city council makes the appointments.
“Those appointments are critical to the saving of our community,” said Simmons, following an impassioned plea by a citizen at Monday’s council meeting. He said policy makers have the power to change things and help guide the city in a better direction.
