LEXINGTON, Miss.–A fatal shooting on Valentine’s Day 2018 has earned Calvin Gibson, Jr., of Lexington, a life sentence without the possibility of parole. The shooting happened six years almost to the day that Gibson was found guilty.
Prosecutors proved to a jury that Gibson shot two people in an argument over drugs.
Gibson decided to rob Brandon Cooper and another man. Both were sitting in a car when they were shot. Cooper died.
Also accused in the fatal shooting is Dwome Brown.
