DESOTO COUNTY, Miss.–The K-9 officer shot and killed last week during a police chase that ended on the Tunica/DeSoto county line, will have a funeral Wednesday morning at a church in DeSoto County.
Luca was shot by Jamarcus Brown, who was, in turn, shot and killed by deputies. Brown’s death is still under investigation by the MBI.
The funeral will be held at Longview Point Baptist Church.
K-9 officers and handlers are asked to line up for the procession in the yard of the church no later than 10:30.
