YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Five detainees escaped from the Yazoo County Jail Sunday. All but one have been recaptured.
Glen Bassett is the last one on the loose as of Tuesday morning, according to updates on the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Dept. Facebook page.
Sunday morning as depoties pulled up to the Yazoo County Jail, they saw a detainee running back into the facility, inside the fence. When they got inside they told the correctional officers what they saw and they conducted a head count.
Five detainees were missing. One was recaptured immediately. Three others were caught subsequently. Marlon Willis was caught in Silver City, Monday morning. Marcus Green and Deliuwon Stowers were caught in Yazoo City, according to Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy.
It was unclear how the five made their escape.
