ROLLING FORK, Miss.–Taxpayers in Sharkey County won’t be on the hook for most of what the county provided after the Rolling Fork tornado last year. FEMA has granted the county reimbursement of $2,797,036.
That will help pay for temporary restrooms, showers, laundry, generators, a temporary light tower and all of the manpower to manage it.
The FEMA Public assistance grant was announced Wednesday.
During such disasters and after FEMA provides money for reimbursement for emergency response, debris removal, restoration of damaged public facilities and infrastructure.
