YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Two people are dead in what Yazoo City Police believe was a murder-suicide.
The bodies of Serrelle Bassett and Ravontae Fowler were found by police Sunday night, just before 10. Police had been asked to check on Bassett. A family member had reported her missing.
Bassett had been shot several times. Police believe Fowler shot her and then himself.
Fowler had been arrested previously on a domestic violence charge for assaulting Bassett.
