HORN LAKE, Miss.–A Memphis man wanted for kidnapping was caught in Mississippi.
Joseph Brown, 32, is accused of kidnapping and beating a woman named Shannon Scott in Memphis at the end of April. He fled the city before police could catch up with him.
Scott survived the incident, but was badly bruised.
Police had warned that Brown had ties to DeSoto County and he was found at a home there by U.S. Marshals. The plan is to extradite him back to Tennessee.
