POPE, Miss.–Dalton Melton may be getting a 20-year sentence for the abuse of three children in 2023 at his mobile home in Pope, if the judge accepts his plea deal.
The deal means he pleads guilty to beating a 13-year-old, six-year-old and three-year-old in an outburst of anger.
Melton would also serve ten years post-release supervision.
The childrens’ mother told WREG-TV she didn’t believe 20 years is enough for the pain he inflicted on the children and memories that won’t go away.
