CLARKSDALE, Miss.–You are asked not to do any outdoor burning and it’s because of the excessively dry conditions, says the Coahoma County Fire Dept.
The department says the dry conditions can increase the risk for grass fires.
In addition to a ban on outdoor burning, the department also passed along some advice on Facebook:
**Stay vigilant** and report any signs of smoke or fire immediately.
**Be responsible**: even small sparks can lead to large fires in these conditions.
