GREENVILLE, Miss.–A Greenville man is accused of shooting and killing a man with whom he had an argument early Saturday, then shooting his own father.
Police have arrested Joseph Norris, Jr., 29, of Greenville, charging him with first degree murder and aggravated assault.
Detectives say Norris got into an argument with Zhaire Green, 24, of Greenville, about 1 Saturday morning on East Alexander St. That argument ended when Norris shot Alexander in the upper body, leaving him to die in the street.
Police say Norris then left and went to his father’s house on Union Street. He got into it with his father, according to police, then pulled out a gun and shot him.
Police were able to arrest Norris when he ran out the back door as they arrived to take him in.
