INDIANOLA, Miss.–A well-known Indianola woman who had been reported missing by her family was found dead late last week.
Sunflower County Sheriff James Haywood said Katie Marie Thompson’s body was found on a property near where she lived, reported The Enterprise-Tocsin newspaper.
Her body was found Thursday, and the sheriff told the newspaper there were no obvious signs of foul play.
Thompson was known by neighbors for riding her electric bicycle around the neighborhood and had not been seen for about a week.
