ALLIGATOR, Miss.–A Mound Bayou woman was shot and killed over the weekend in Alligator, according to the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Dept.
The victim was identified as Peja Campbell, 19.
According to a news release the sheriff’s department got a call about a shooting at a club in Alligator about 1 Saturday morning. When they arrived deputies were informed that the victim had been taken by private vehicle to Northwest Medical Center in Clarksdale.
Campbell was dead by the time deputies got there.
They arrested Tymeja Boss, 22, of Shelby, charging her with murder.
Investigators have not discussed a motive.
