GREENVILLE, Miss. — Greenville police seized multiple firearms and arrested a man on a domestic aggravated assault charge following an early morning shooting investigation Saturday.
Officers with the Greenville Police Department responded at approximately 12:40 a.m. on May 16 to the 1400 block of Highway 1 South after receiving reports of a shooting involving a domestic-related dispute.
While en route, officers were advised that the suspect had returned to the scene in a black Chevrolet Impala. Police located the vehicle and safely detained four occupants without incident.
During the investigation, officers recovered multiple firearms from inside the vehicle, including handguns and a rifle, which were secured as evidence.
Preliminary findings revealed the incident began near the Express Inn on U.S. 82 East following an altercation between the suspect and the victim.
Investigators determined that after a vehicle collision, the suspect allegedly pursued the victim and fired multiple rounds into her vehicle, striking it at least once.
Based on witness statements, physical evidence and statements obtained during the investigation, police arrested Dannarius Hartman, charging him with domestic aggravated assault.
No injuries were reported.
Police said the investigation remains active, and additional charges or arrests are possible.
