(RUSKIN, Fla.) — Two deputies were airlifted to a Florida hospital Thursday after they were shot in an incident, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Police are on the scene of the shooting, which took place on West Shell Point Road in Ruskin, Florida, south of Tampa, the sheriff’s office reported.
The two deputies were medevaced to Tampa General Hospital after being shot, according to the sheriff’s office.
The suspect was also shot and is being transported to the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office said there is no threat to public safety at this time.
