Monticello, AR (Wesley Carnicle) – The UAM athletic department will host their annual fundraiser that usually takes place in McGehee, Arkansas, virtually this year from November 7-13, the UAM athletic department announced Thursday.
MONTICELLO, Ark. – The University of Arkansas at Monticello athletic department will host their annual fundraiser that usually takes place in McGehee, Arkansas, virtually this year from Saturday, November 7 through Friday, November 13, the UAM athletic department announced Thursday.
On Saturday November 7, the auction will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude on Friday, November 13 at 8 p.m. Pick up for the items will be on Saturday, November 14 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Steelman Fieldhouse on the campus of UAM.
The auction will be run through Orrell Auctions, a local Monticello organization who specializes in doing online auctions. For those willing bid for items, they must register for free via the https://www.orrellauctions.com/ website. All participants will click the “current auctions” tab and then click the “login/new bidder” link at the top of the page to register.
All proceeds for the auction will go to UAM Athletics and its designated sports programs.
Fans are also encouraged to donate items to the auction. You can designate proceeds to go to general athletics or a sport program(s) of your choice. If you plan to, items and descriptions must be provided to Cody Reaves directly by November 5.

“While we may not be hosting any live sporting events at this time, we are extremely excited to be able to host this event for all UAM supporters,” said UAM Assistant AD for External Affairs, Cody Reaves. “As great as it would have been to see all of our people in person again this year, we are encouraged by the new opportunities that moving the event online brings. By going online, bidding is not restricted to just one night or to just those able to attend the event. Throughout a full week, participants may bid continuously from the convenience of their phone or computer. We feel that this level of accessibility provides our programs with the greatest opportunity to capitalize off this fundraising event.”
“That said, we are just a month away from the launch of this fundraiser. Over the last few months, our teams have been gathering items in preparation. However, we are still actively looking for more items to add to the auction. We are open to any products or services you may provide, as any and all profits will go directly towards supporting our programs’ financial needs.
