CLARKSDALE, Miss.–The facility that will make way for 80 jobs in Clarksdale has opened. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new IRS office was Thursday.
The office is on the second floor of the Federal Building.
Deputy Director for the Internal Revenue Service Douglas O’Donnell showed up for the ceremony, where Mayor Chuck Espy praised the collaborative effort from the city, county and the Chamber of Commerce in helping to get the office in the city.
Espy said several positions are still open and encouraged people to apply
