Today MSDH is reporting an additional 17,525 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and five deaths for the four-day period December 30 – January 2. These deaths occurred between December 29 and December 30. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases is now 561,262, with 10,455 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 14 additional COVID-19 cases in residents of long-term care facilities and one death. There are currently 205 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
