The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 82 in Washington County.
21-year-old Alexia Hamilton of Leland, MS, traveled west on Highway 82 in a 2019 Nissan Vers when it collided with a 2017 GMC Sierra driven by 51-year-old Remus Taliaferro, of Greenwood, MS, traveling east on Highway 82.
Alexia Hamilton, along with passengers 22-year-old Jamilya Wilson of Arcola, MS, and 22-year-old Myles Marshall of Hollandale, received fatal injuries from the crash and were pronounced dead on the scene.
Remus Taliaferro received non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to a hospital in Jackson, MS. This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
