GRENADA, Miss–You might know the name Carlos Moore. He’s an attorney based in Grenada, who represents actor Terrance Howard and has taken on prominent cases in the delta, such as Aderrien Murry and family in Indianola, the 11-year-old boy who was shot by a police officer; and the young man who urinated in a Senatobia parking lot. This week one of his adult clients demaded $25,000 and Moore says, had a gun with him.
Moore told WREG that the man told Moore he was the Messiah and would not leave without the money. He also indicated he had a gun in a leather bag, but that the gun was not loaded.
Moore said he told the man he was going to call opposing counsel and arrange for a check. Instead, he left the room and called police.
Moore also texted his workers so that they would stay where they were.
The police came, but did not charge the man since no laws were violated. But, Moore said he would ask the judge in the case if he could drop the man as a client due to incompatibility issues.
