In a tragic incident on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at approximately 2:40 a.m., the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distressing call. The report indicated a shooting at 913 Brown Ave. in Cleveland.
A 13-year-old male was found lying in the front yard, suffering from a headshot wound. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.
Pafford Ambulance Service quickly transported the wounded teen to the Bolivar County Hospital, where he received immediate medical attention. Given his injuries’ severity, he was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. At this time, the victim remains listed in critical condition.
