ROBINSONVILLE, Miss.–The victims in a double fatal crash in Robinsonville have been identified as Nicholas Paul Stafford, 29, and Ruby Gene Watney, 36, both of Tate County.

The Tunica County Sheriff’s Dept. said the two died when the cars they were driving hit at the intersection of Hwy. 713, also known as Casino Center Extended, and Kirby Rd.
The two were alive when  first responders made it to the scene, but died soon after.
While the sheriff’s department did not discuss the cause in a news release, they did encourage the public to be vigilant while driving and avoid activities that could cause a wreck.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol, in an unrelated move Tuesday, announced more state troopers would be on the roads to crack down on drivers who are engaging in violations that commonly lead to crashed, including drunk driving and texting while driving.
