GRENADA, Miss.–Several wrecks happened over the Labor Day weekend in the Delta, with some of them fatal.
In Grenada County, Barry Campbell, 62, of Grenada died in a single-vehicle wreck Friday morning about 10 a.m., when his car left the road and hit an embankment. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still looking into the cause of that wreck.
Also in Grenada County, two people died Sunday afternoon in a head-on wreck on Hwy. 7. An SUV driven by Robert Noah, 18, of Jackson, collided with a Jeep in which Lizzie Tucker, 74, of Richmond, Texas, was a passenger. Both died in the crash. The highway patrol did not provide any info on the driver of the Jeep.
In Coahoma County two cars hit Sunday near Lula on Hwy. 61 north at the intersection with Hwy. 49. At least two people went to the hospital in that wreck
