CLARKSDALE, Miss. — Residents in several Clarksdale neighborhoods will see delays in trash collection this week after multiple knuckle boom trucks broke down, city officials announced Tuesday.
The City of Clarksdale Government said the breakdowns have affected pickup in areas including Lee Drive, Crestline, Gale, Jane Cove, Ann Cove, Shaw Cove, Sandy Cove, Cottonwood Cove, Westover Drive, Ridge Road, Porter Drive, and other surrounding streets.
The trucks are currently undergoing repairs, and the city said it is working to restore service as quickly as possible.
“A couple of our knuckle boom trucks decided to take a ‘break’ — and by break, we mean break down,” city officials said in a statement. “They’re in the shop now, which means there will be a delay in trash collection.”
The city encouraged residents to remain patient while crews work to get back on schedule.
