CLEVELAND, Miss.—A Cleveland woman was found shot after police were called Saturday night, just before midnight. She later died at Bolivar Medical Center.
According to a news release from Cleveland Police, Jemetrice Brown, 23, was shot at a house on Geneva Circle.
A woman named Martha Harris was also hurt and was taken to the hospital. Harris was charged with Brown’s murder.
Her bond was set at $100,000 after an initial court appearance.
The case will be turned over to the Bolivar County District Attorney for prosecution.
Police did not explain any of the circumstances surrounding the killing. They say it is still a matter of investigation.
