GREENVILLE, Miss.–You are invited to a virtual town hall meeting tonight with Congressman Bennie Thompson. Thompson, who represents the Delta in Washington, said in a news release he wants to discuss the potential impacts of Pres. Donald Trump’s executive orders on Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District.
“The discussion will address the direct threats the executive orders pose to Mississippi’s Second Congressional District and their potential impact on key areas such as education, healthcare, tariffs, and veterans’ services,” said the notice.
Thompson and Trump do not have a good relationship. Thompson has repeatedly spoken ill of the first Trump presidency and was the head of the House Select Committee on Jan. 6, which has drawn ire from the president.
