MEMPHIS, TN (Ben Caxton) — The man charged in the murder of Memphis basketball player Lorenzen Wright will not know his trial date until next year. Billy Turner’s hearing has been continued until January 15th to allow the defense and prosecution to coordinate schedules with their expert witnesses. Turner and Wright’s ex-wife Sherra were both charged with murder; she pleaded guilty to facilitation to murder this summer and Turner was originally supposed to go on trial in September, but new evidence given to the defense pushed the date back.
