HOLMES COUNTY, Miss. — A Cruger woman died early Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 49E in Holmes County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened around 5:48 a.m. near the Leflore County line. A 2016 Mazda CX-5, driven by 27-year-old Carly Dean, was traveling south when it left the roadway and struck an embankment.
Dean sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
