BELZONI, Miss.–Another curfew has been implemented in the Delta, this one following a triple shooting that happened at a game room Friday in Humphreys County.
The curfew applies to juveniles, who must be home by 9 p.m. on weeknights and 11 p.m. on weekends.
It also applies to bars, lounges, game rooms, clubs and restaurants. They must close at midnight for the next 90 days.
The Humphreys County Board of Supervisors enacted the curfew to cut down on violent crimes. It went into effect Monday at midnight. Greenville, Leland, and Metcalfe have enacted curfews, with state Sen. Derrick Simmons encouraging other Delta communities to follow suit last week.
