GREENVILLE, Miss.–Severe weather is possible in the Delta today and tomorrow. But, the biggest risk for severe storms is Thursday.
“It’s probably gonna remain moist and unstable until Thursday and then we could see some more substantial weather,” said National Weather Service Forecaster Logan Poole, pointing out that areas in Texas and Oklahoma are seeing bigger risks than Mississippi for the next couple of days.
But, he said the instability could be enough to kick off some strong storms.
“We’re looking at Thursday as potentially the most risky of the week,” he said. “Right now that…depends on what happens in the previous days.”
He said what happens Thursday will depend on whether potential storms Wednesday afternoon cool things down.
