GREENVILLE, Miss.–A surgeon who practiced for 23 years at Delta Regional Medical Center, has been named state epidemiologist. Dr. Renia Dotson’s appointment was announced Tuesday.
Dotson is a native of Mooreville, Alabama. The thrust of her career has been colorectal surgery.
She joined the Mississippi State Dept. of Health last year as the head of the Center for Public Health Transformation.
The state epidemiologist studies diocese and its effects upon the population.
