GREENVILLE, Miss. — The City of Greenville celebrated a major transportation milestone as Denver Air Connection completed its inaugural flight from Greenville Mid-Delta Regional Airport (GLH) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
The new route establishes nonstop service between Greenville and Atlanta, with continuing flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, providing the Mississippi Delta with direct access to two of the world’s busiest transportation hubs.
“This marks a historic moment for Greenville and the entire Mississippi Delta,” said Mayor Errick D. Simmons. “With Denver Air Connection’s new nonstop service to Atlanta and continuing flights to Dallas/Fort Worth, our community is now directly connected to two of the world’s busiest transportation hubs. This is more than an air service expansion—it’s a gateway to opportunity.”
Simmons said the new routes will enhance convenience for local families and strengthen business connectivity across the nation and abroad.
“For our families, it means easier travel and access to new destinations. For our businesses, it means stronger connections to markets and customers across the nation and the globe,” Simmons said. “And for our city, it is another step forward in making Greenville a hub of progress, growth, and possibility in the Delta.”
The mayor commended Airport Director Levell Hawkins, city leaders, and community partners for their role in securing the expanded air service.
“Together, we are lifting Greenville to new heights,” Simmons said.
