DSU Faculty to Hold Seminar on Artificial Intelligence

Faculty members at Delta State University are set to host an informative seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence – What You Need to Know.” The event, scheduled for September 26th at 6 p.m., will take place in the recital hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

Organized by Dr. James Gerald, the Dean of Graduate Studies, this seminar promises to explore AI’s evolving role in society. Dr. David Hebert, interim director of the Ford Center for Teaching and Learning, will oversee the panel discussion.

The panelists for this event represent a diverse range of expertise. Dr. Brian Becker from the history department, Dr. Catherine Putnam, specializing in mathematics, Korkut Akacik from the art department, Dr. Jon Westfall from the psychology department, and Dr. Syed Raza, an expert in computer information systems.
