YAZOO CITY, Miss.–A Yazoo City man was shot Sunday night in a rural part of the county and the sheriff’s department arrested the man’s brother, accusing him of the crime.
Yazoo County Sheriff Jeremy McCoy said in a Facebook post that deputies responded to a shooting on Graball Freerun Rd. in a rural part of the county at about 8:30 p.m. Monday. A man was injured and was taken to the hospital.
Shortly after investigators determined the suspect in the shooting was the brother of the man shot. He was arrested shortly after that.
The department did not release the suspect’s name.
The victim was in serious but stable condition.
