RULEVILLE, Miss. — Firefighters from multiple departments responded early Tuesday to a structure fire in downtown Ruleville after the blaze compromised the building’s structural integrity, officials said.
Battalion One was requested to the scene around 5 a.m. on Floyce Street to provide a ladder truck after crews determined an aerial master stream was needed to reach fire burning deep inside the structure. Officials said conventional hose lines were unable to access portions of the fire due to the extent of the damage.
Despite bitterly cold conditions, firefighters from both departments worked together to bring the fire under control and limit damage to the building where the fire originated.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not been released.
