LYON, Miss.–A fire destroyed a vacant house in Coahoma County Tuesday morning, in the town of Lyon. The Coahoma County Fire Department has fought at least three house fires, where the structures have been destroyed, so far this week.
Tuesday’s fire took about two hours to extinguish, with help from Joneston, Bobo and Lyon fire departments.
The house was on Bayou St., and according to the department’s Facebook page, was already engulfed in flames when the first trucks arrived, with flames showing through the roof.
No one was hurt in the fire.
