YAZOO CITY, Miss.–Four correctional officers have been fired and charged with helping five Yazoo County Jail detainees escape Sunday, said Sheriff Jeremy “Bull” McCoy.
He did not discuss details of the escape or how the guards may have helped, with reporters. He also has not named the former officers.
Glen Bassett is still loose. McCoy said that the person who calls in the tip that sends him back to jail could get a $1,000 reward.
