BATESVILLE, Miss.–GE Aerospace is improving and enhancing its facility in Batesville, which makes parts and components for aircraft. The company made the announcement Wednesday.
The company is expected to spend about $11 million to build new ovens for producing ceramic matrix composite parts, which can themselves better withstand heat. The money will also be used to increase production of jet engine components and improve utilities.
The company is spending about $1 billion at its facilities across the country.
They will also be able to train more students in the cutting and welding program at the Batesville plant.
