Additional healthcare support services are headed to the Greenville Public School District through an agreement with Maverick health.
Superintended Deborah Dace said that he district is partnering width he Maverick health through the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) to offer voluntary school based COVID-19 screening (testing) for unvaccinated students and staff.
The screening tests are rapid antigen tests that provide results within 15 minutes, MSDH has announced.
Dace said, that Maverick Health LLC (Maverick) as the laboratory administering or performing the tests and GSPD is thrilled to reap those benefits.
Dace said : “The best news is that there is no cost to out students or staff for those screening tests. GSPD staff will schedule services for school sites accordingly and take the burden away from parents and staff, all in all, the partnership with maverick health is a win-win with our students and staff , whereas, it will provide an additional layer of protection to he slow spread of Covid 19 in school settings.”
