GREENVILLE, Miss. — The Greenville College Access and Attainment Network (GCAAN) is hosting a free literacy event this week aimed at children and families.
“Get Lit for Literacy” will take place Thursday, July 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Percy Library, 341 Main St. in Greenville. The event will feature educational games, music, and free ice cream for attendees.
Greenville Mayor Errick D. Simmons encouraged residents to come out and take advantage of the opportunity while supplies last.
The event is part of GCAAN’s Summer Internship Program and is supported by the Washington County Library System, Greenville College, and the City of Greenville.
