The Greenville Public School District announced that the student body at Greenville High School will quarantine following multiple confirmed COVID-19 student cases.
Superintendent Dr. Debra Dace said the district will continue to adhere to all local, state, and federal guidelines.
Students will quarantine until Sept. 7, and return to school Wednesday, Sept. 8.
“We must ensure everyone’s safety so we will quarantine the entire student body at Greenville High School”, Dace added.”Our children’s and staff’s safety are paramount here at Greenville Public Schools.”
The transition to virtual learning at Greenville High School will allow the district to conduct a deep cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting of the campus.
GPSD shares and updates information periodically on its electronic COVID-19 dashboard and tab on its website (gvillepublicschooldistrict.com) to help share and inform the public about the number of COVID-19 positive cases. In addition, the district welcomes the community to view the information accordingly.
Parents will be notified accordingly on the district’s Return to School Plan. Parents can also submit questions or concerns electronically, via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
