GREENVILLE, Miss.–A Greenville man is charged with killing his brother Wednesday night.
According to Greenville Police Dept. detectives, officers responded to a call about 9 p.m. Wednesday on Cotton Dr. They found a man laying in the hallway of the house with a gunshot wound to the chest. The man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
The man was identified as Gervante Johnson, 27, of Greenville.
Detectives said the circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear. But the man’s brother, Santwan Johnson, 21, also of Greenville, was charged with his killing.
The younger Johnson is in the Washington County Jail, awaiting his first appearance in front of a judge.
