Greenville Man Wanted for Statutory Rape Leads Police on High-Speed Chase, Crashes into Patrol Car

GREENVILLE, Miss.–A man who was wanted on a charge of statutory rape and who had run from police befoire, did it again when Greenville Police tried to pull him over Friday.

Kevon Williams, 26, of Greenville, was spotted on Hwy. 82 east and hit the gas when officers tried to get him to stop. Police say he began driving erratically and led them on a chase through several areas of town.

Williams finally crashed into a Greenville Police patrol car on South Broadway at Valiant St.

Officers put the cuffs on and he was taken to the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility to face ths statutory rape charge, as well as chagres of felony fleeing and multiple traffic violations.
