GREENVILLE, Miss. — The Greenville Police Department is investigating a three-vehicle collision Monday in the 300 block of Highway 82 East that left one person critically injured.
Officers were called to the scene on Dec. 8 and found a small gray sedan, a black passenger vehicle and a green semi-truck involved in the crash. Police said the black vehicle was struck on the passenger side by the eastbound semi-truck.
Authorities said the gray sedan had been reported stolen and was occupied by several juveniles who ran from the scene after the collision. Investigators later took the juveniles into custody.
The driver of the black passenger vehicle was airlifted to a medical facility and remains in critical condition, police said.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
