GREENVILLE, Miss. — An 18-year-old man was shot in the leg Sunday evening during a family gathering in Greenville, police said.
Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. to the 900 block of East Lynn Circle after receiving a report of a shooting, the Greenville Police Department said in a statement.
Witnesses told officers a white vehicle pulled up near the gathering and someone inside opened fire. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
Police said investigators are interviewing persons of interest.
