Greenville Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

GREENVILLE, Miss. — A Greenville man was killed in a shooting late Monday night, according to the Greenville Police Department.

Officers responded to a call about gunfire around 11 p.m. in the 400 block of North Edison Street. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. Emergency responders and the Washington County Coroner’s Office also arrived, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim was identified as 35-year-old Darnell King of Greenville.
Investigators are interviewing witnesses, and no motive has been released. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
