On Sunday, December 3rd, the Greenville Police Department responded to a distressing incident in the 600 block of East McCorkle Circle. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims—a devastating scenario involving an 11-year-old male and a 17-year-old female. The male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was swiftly airlifted to another medical facility for urgent treatment. Tragically, the 17-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene by the Washington County Coroner’s Office.
Eyewitnesses reported that a dark-colored vehicle, occupied by several males, pulled up in front of the victim’s residence and unleashed a barrage of gunfire before fleeing the scene northward on McCorkle Circle. In response, investigators swiftly initiated their inquiry, pursuing leads that led to the apprehension of 17-year-old Mardarius Hall of Greenville. Hall faces charges of Murder, Attempted Murder (4 counts), and Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling. He is currently held at the Washington County Regional Correctional Facility.
