The Greenville Public School District has announced that Dr. Yolanda Johnson has been selected as the Director of Elementary Curriculum and Professional Development.
Dr. Johnson is a Greenville native and a proud graduate of Greenville High School. She has received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Alcorn State University, a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Mississippi Valley State University, an Education Specialist Degree from Arkansas State University, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from William Carey University.
Most recently, Dr. Johnson has been serving as the Principal of Armstrong Elementary School, where she played a significant role in transforming the school’s performance. She led her team of educators from a failing school to an “A” rate on the MDE Accountability scale.
