GRENADA COUNTY, Miss.–Grenada County Deputy Lee Smallwood, had an up close and personal encounter with one of the many trees that fell during storms Sunday in the county.
Dashcam video from a patrol car showed Smallwood nearly being hit by a tree as it fell right in front of the car.
Smallwood was out trying to help secure the scene as the tree appeared to be about to fall.
Smallwood’s home was damaged during the March tornado that hit the county. The department said in a post on their Facebook page, that Smallwood tayed on patrol and continued to help other people, which is what he was doing Sunday night.
