GRENADA, Miss.–Attorney Carlos Moore will not be an attorney for one year, receiving a suspension from the practice of law by the Mississippi Bar Complaint Tribunal.
Moore is well-known for representing people with high-profile cases like the child who was shot by a cop in Indianola and the family of the child who was detained by police for public urination in Senatobia.He was also a municipal judge in Grenada.
But, several complaints have been made against Moore, including one that he pocketed a $300,000 settlement, rather than forwarding the money to the right place.
Other complaints included public comments on social media about cases that were pending before him.
The judgement against Moore was handed down Dec. 31 by the Bar. He will also have to pay the Bar about $600 in expenses.
